Kendric Davis Named AAC Player of the Week

Davis Named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week
IRVING, Texas (The American/SMU) – Kendric Davis was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Davis had 25 points, eight assists and three steals in the 71-56 win at ECU on Feb. 8. This is his second Player of the Week honor this season. He has also been on the weekly honor roll six times.
Davis, a Preseason All-AAC First Team and Lute Olson National Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch List member, is averaging 17.7 points (2nd AAC), 7.6 assists (1st AAC, 3rd NCAA) and 1.5 steals (4th AAC) with a 2.9 assist-to-turnover ratio (1st AAC, 24th NCAA). He is also among the league leaders in FG% (47.1, 8th) and FT% (85.9, 3rd AAC) while hitting 32.1% on threes. He has four points-assists double-doubles this season. He has at least five assists in 12 of 15 game this season, including an AAC-record 14 assists versus Cincinnati on Jan. 7.
SMU is 11-4 on the season with a 7-4 record in American Athletic Conference play.
