THE SERIES VS. WICHITA STATE (6-8): SMU has dropped the three contests over the past three seasons after splitting the 2017-18 season, the first season as conference foes.

Time to tilt the series more towards our favor and get an all important Quad 2 win which could turn into a Quad 1 win if the Shockers ever figure it out.

Getting excited early for this game. Seems like it's been a long time since our guys have played and forever since the 1st WSU game was postponed. Shockers have played well since their covid break and they could become a factor in this league before this season ends. Hope our guys come out firing on all cylinders. Been a while since Nutall contributed much to the team's scoring. He's really shot poorly in AAC play. I'd sure like to see the guy who scored 20 against Vandy and hit 50% of his shots help take the pressure off our steady contributors

It has to be an exceptional talent to do that. I doubt anyone besides KD could pull that off.

The game is on ESPN News. Wichita State starting off hot. SMU not so much. Wichita State up 9-4 at the 16:00 mark.

I wish this game was on ESPN+. We really did not come ready to play today. We can't make a shot and have given the ball away on 4 or 5 straight possessions due to just terrible decisions and lapse in concentration. Unless we get it together fast, chalk this one up as an L.

SMU outscored 18-2 in the last few minutes! Turn out the lights.

Wichita State up 39-23 at the half. I can't say one good thing about SMU today so I won't say anything at all.

Wichita State came back from 24 down to beat SMU at Moody so it's not over until it's over, but our guys better come out and make some shots to open the 2nd half and get back into this game in the 1st 5 minutes. Other than Bandoumel and Marcus, not much happening offensively

WSU got red hot during that stretch but good move by Jank to go to the zone which broke their momentum a bit. Our guys just couldn't get anything going to change the momentum to our advantage. Thought they might when Band hit back to back treys

8 minutes into the 2nd half and our guys have not closed the gap and continue to shoot poorly. Can't even make FTs tonight and that has been a strength of this team all year

If KD simply has an average game, we win this game.
