UTEP banks in a 3 at the end of reg. to send it to OT, our ladies never recovered. Dissapointing end to a very strange season, but I think the future is very bright for this program. Now its the men's turn, hopefully tomorrow will be a better day

Youngalumpony, I would be interested in hearing why you think the future is bright for this program. I am not saying it isn't but I am curious as to what others think.

Well I'm not an expert, but there are a couple of things that look promising. First, they have a freshman that was redshirted this year, Janielle Dodds, a 6'3 center who was voted Virginia player of the year as a high school senior, hopefully she can be a much needed inside presence for the team. I'm not familar with this year's new recruiting class, but word is that it's very strong. Finally, the team had to deal with injuries throughout this season, the most serious being Juli Colli, a projected starting guard that missed the entire season. Injuries, along with the sudden passing of Sarah Davis' father, added up to alot of adversity that hopefully this team won't have to overcome in the upcoming seasons.

Has anyone else noticed that it seems like Rhonda's teams have had to deal with a lot of injuries the last 2-3 years? I know it was either last year or the previous year that they didn't even have enough players healthy to be able to have an intrasquad scrimmage and that some of the assistants were having to play during practice. I'm not blaming it on Rhonda, what I was wondering is if there was something about Moody, and the fact that the girls have to climb up and down those stairs to get to their locker room that made them more susceptible to injury?
