Mustangs Fall At Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Making her second-consecutive start, Jessica Peterson finished with 11 points and six rebounds in an 80-51 setback against Memphis Friday at Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
SMU dropped to 10-5 overall, including 1-2 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Tigers improved to 9-7, 1-2.
Peterson hit five of her nine attempts from the field, adding three assists and one block.
Reagan Bradley dropped in a team-high 12 points, with two assists, two blocks and one steal.
Savannah Wilkinson tallied six points, with a team-best eight rebounds, while Tamia Jones netted 10 points.
After doubling up the Mustangs 16-8 in the first quarter, Memphis increased its advantage to 39-24 at the half. The Tigers pushed the final margin to 29 by outscoring SMU 41-27 over the final two periods.
The Mustangs return to Moody Coliseum Tuesday at 7 p.m., when they host Cincinnati.
