Was just at the SMU vs OSU mbb game. There are some really strong players on the team. Miller, Cross, Hilton, and the freshman Holmes, all stood out. Holmes didn't play much and his energy on the court was not as focused but you can see the potential. The group won the 2nd half of the game by matching OSU points and giving more energy on the court. At one point the Stangs were in striking distance to win in the 2nd half overcoming the halftime deficit. Three point shooting and free throws continue to be a weakness. Thats with the exception of Cross who plays hard and seems very accurate with his threes when he gets open. Miller is a mover and shaker on the court. He's a bit like a basketball Jennings. The game today was very physical and SMU players hit back nicely. I think the team has lots of upside. The score was 89 OSU to 78 SMU. The first half lost the game but the second half showed SMU to be a good, strong, competitive group with a lot of fight. Go Stangs

Thanks for sharing that.
Supposedly OSU shot the lights out early and we played catch-up all game. True?

The team did great, except that OSU was HOT making four 3 point shots in the first half to create a double digit lead.

On our side, SMU only had consistent 3 point shooting from Cross (if my memory serves me). The issue there was that Matt Cross is a very intense and focused player who kept getting called for fouls. Coach pulled him off the floor often to keep him from fouling out. He did foul out by the end of the game. I honestly thought some of the foul calls were a bit OSU friendly.
