Wish I could go. Plenty of decent bars in the vicinity but honestly we were at Irish-hosted tailgates (the weather was much better for football in early October than it will be in two days). My main travel advice is to be in Chicago as high a percentage of your trip "to" South Bend as you possibly can be.

I was going to drive up from Cincinnati but the snow and cold kind of ended that idea.
