Suffice to say, Tuesday's game is big if the Mustangs hope to get a double bye in the ACC tournament.
SMU (21-8 / 12-6 ACC) hosts Syracuse (12-17 / 6-12 ACC) at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The game can be seen on ESPNU.
Tuesday is Senior Night at Moody Coliseum.

Need to win this one convincingly against a Syracuse team that is still a "name brand" but is really having a down year for that proud program. The Orangemen have not beaten an ACC team with a winning record in conference play and we don't need to give them that opportunity tonight.

Actually a very big game. we have a marginal home record (5-4 in ACC). We need the win to keep pace with UNC. Good news is win out, probably hold the #4 seed. UNC has Duke left though one never knows in that rivalry how things will turn out.

Guard Boopie Miller, who missed the last four games, is in uniform and warmed up with his teammates.

That's a lot of production that will really be missed next year

Pretty sure tonight is the first time in his college career that SMU center Samet Yiğitoğlu will be able to look up to an opponent.
Yiğitoğlu stands 7-2, but Syracuse senior Naheem McLeod sneaks in at 7-4 (and 265 pounds). McLeod has played in just 14 games this season, each time coming off the bench. He averages 6.1 minutes and 2.2 points per game, and has 19 rebounds this season.

Nice that UNC dispatched Va Tech timely and that our broadcast will start without any delay tonight

Good sight: Booopie Miller takes outlet pass and hits the jets, driving into the lane and absorbing contact before pulling up for a jumper for SMU's first two points.
Syracuse 7, SMU 4

Heavyweight battle in the paint: Lampkin and Yiğitoğlu basically body-slamming each other for space in the low post. First foul called on Lampkin, to the chagrin of Syracuse coach Adrian Autry.
Cuse 12, SMU 8

Syracus hot to start this game but Boopie looks healthy and I do like our depth at guard when he's able to run the show and contribute significant minutes
