Any recommendations for things to do in the Queen City?
If you like live music, the Music Factory area has several venues and usually has something going on.
If you like breweries, the NoDa area has several to check out.
If you like history, drive down I-85 to Kings Mountain to see a Revolutionary War site, and continue down to Cowpens, SC if you like.
If you like to gamble, there is a casino under construction but they have an area open. Catawba 2 Kings Casino, near the revolutionary war site. Sports bets or table games are your best bets. I'd stay off the slots.
If the weather was warmer, the Whitewater Center is a cool place to visit.
Many restaurants around the city of course. If you want authentic NC BBQ, I'd drive out of town to Lexington, NC. Places aren't fancy, and that's what you want.
