Mustangs improve to 23-9, advances to face Clemson at 8:30 (Central time) tomorrow in a game that can be seen on ESPN2.

Looked much better this game than the last games.

We were efficient from three and that's a huge key for this team but they came out playing really tough defense in the 2nd half which makes all the difference for these guys when they can get buckets in transition vs playing the half court game. Samet continues to struggle offensively and I don't know how much more he can play this year with that shoulder issue. Traore and Ambrose-Hylton really stepped up in Samet's absence and Cross was huge in punishing Syracuse for going into their zone D. We were tentative at times but finally decided to be aggressive against Syracuse's press and made them pay.

Hopefully the guys can shoot lights out tonight because that's what it will take to beat a really good veteran Clemson team.

Really nice to win last night. I've watched way too many one and done conference tourney losses through the years. I don't expect to win today, but at least we are in the game, and who knows!

Every team that was playing its first game won last night. I think Syracuse just ran out of gas in the 2nd half. But I don't want to take anything away from our defense, which was awesome.

Having a bye gives you a tremendous advantage in these no-rest tournaments. Let's hope we buck the trend against Clemson tonight.
