I was surprised to see that Hoopscoop.com rated Ike Ofoegbu a six star rating in its latest ratings which would make him a Big Time National recruit. There doesn't seem to be a real consensus about this kid by the services as I've seen him rated all over the place but its good to know someone's got a high opinion on him. All other SMU recruits are rated a 3 star which is a little puzzling to me as well as I would have thought (oops Caribbean brain fart-the kid from Houston Nimitz) would have been rated higher.

Stallion,
1) Did you get any other information out of the hoopscoop mention?
2) Is it normal to see such a large disparity in opinions from the recruiting experts? Are we able to draw some conclusions from the rankings?
Thanks.

I've said before JUCO recruiting info is sketchy, especially a Texas JUCO, especially a lower level JUCO like Hill JC. Don't know if many schools recruit at that level where they play schools like Collin County JC.

I agree Derrick Roberts (the Houston kid) should've been rated higher. He was ranked the #8 player in the state, according to Texas Hoops behind guys like LaMarcus Aldridge, Jawaan McClellan, Daniel Gibson (all McD All Americans), Dion Dowell and Jason Horton. He's legit.

Is Ike enrolled and on campus, playing pickup games with the guys and working out, like incoming football players are? The more time he spends becoming familiar with his new teammates, the better.

"Yes" you agree with the prior message or "yes" he is on campus?
