Croatia's players were smart, fundamentally sound, extremely disciplined and much more athletic than I would have imagined. I was really impressed. The US made a run at the end of the first half and again halfway through the second half to make it close, but the game was more lopsided than the score.

Is it possible to recruit those players? Or do they have military/professional obligations that will keep them at home?
