Tonight at 7:00 on NBA TV (ch. 601 on DirecTV), the LA Clippers summer league team featuring Quinton Ross will be playing the Knicks. After that game, the Spurs and Jemeil Rich will be playing the Lakers.
Jeryl Sasser is playing for the Bobcats summer league team.

How did he look?

Q played pretty well, especially defensively. He really wasn't looking for his shot at all but still ended up with a dozen or so points, 6 or 7 rebounds, and a few steals and assists (haven't seen an actual box score). The announcers were praising him for his D, and when they talked with Elgin Baylor (Clippers GM), he said that's the reason why the Clips really like him. He was probably the 2nd best player on their team behind Chris Kaman.
Should be interesting to watch him tonight against the Mavs (again on NBA TV a little after 10:00). He might end up guarding Josh Howard, who I think, have very similar games.

PG, thanks for the update. I hope like hell that Q makes the Clips roster. If you get a chance, let us know how he plays tonight against the Mavs.

Q wasn't quite as effective last night, although he did start for the 2nd straight night. He ended up guarding Josh Howard quite a bit and held his own at times, but Howard also took advantage of him a few times. His shot didn't fall on the few shots he actually took (he wasn't looking to shoot much at all). He did set up his teammates for good looks on a few occasions. Unfortunately, they didn't do the same when he was open. Pretty much every guy is out there trying to impress someone so they are going to try and make something heppen instead of passing to the open guy. Q is one of the few who will give it up and doesn't feel he needs to make a spectacular move to impress the scouts and coaches. Overall, I'd say he was ok. Solid, not spectacular as usual. That could very well earn him a job.
