Hello Everyone!
My name is Julianne Scheidler and I am a senior libero/ds. Time is flying by so quickly, I cannot believe it. It does not seem like three years ago, as a freshman, I was figuring out what college was all about and learning what a privilege it is to be a part of such an amazing team and volleyball program here at SMU. I truly have had an incredible experience with my coaches and teammates. Luckily, I don't have to worry about losing these friendships when I graduate, because I will have all my teammates as friends for life and the memories will last forever!
Academically, Senior year has been quite a challenge. There are so many classes that interest me that I decided to take as many as I possibly can. I am really enjoying my finance class called Money and Capital Markets. I am learning so many things relevant to our country's economic system that I find really interesting. Also, Abbey and I have a biomechanics class together where we learn about the movements our bodies make while playing sports and working out. It helps to have class with her because we will be able to study on the road together! It is also pretty funny to watch each other try to reenact the movements we are trying to learn.
As for an update on how your Mustangs are doing in the gym, this past weekend we had our final home tournament of the preseason. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us! We came in first place, ending our preseason with three straight first place trophies! Currently, we are 11-1, which is so great! We know that we have a lot of work to do to keep that winning streak up and we are working hard everyday in the gym and the weight room to make that happen! Conference play starts for us this weekend against UCF and USF at home. I hope you can come out to watch!
Thanks for checking in!
