Clark Named American Athletic Conference Rookie Of The Week
Freshman Tallies Goal In No. 21 SMU's Tie With No. 24 USF

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (American/SMU) – Coming off American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, Bryce Clark scored a goal in No. 21 SMU’s 2-2 draw with No. 24 USF en route to Rookie of the Week honors, league officials announced on Monday.
Clark scored the Mustangs’ first goal in Saturday’s match, and added an assist in SMU’s 7-0 win over Central Arkansas last Wednesday.
The Los Gatos, California, native is tied for second on the team with four assists and has a pair of goals for eight points in 2014. He has started all 13 matches on the backline for the Ponies and helped the defense to a 0.96 goals-against-average including only 45 shots on goal from opponents.
Junior Idrissa Camara was awarded a spot on this week’s honor roll for his two-goal week. Camara leads the team with 13 points (6g, 1a).
The Mustangs are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane in American action. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. CT.
