The NCAA tournament field was announced today. As expected, only Tulsa made it from The American.

Kind of disappointing to go from a three or four bid league to a one bid league. UConn, USF, UCF, SMU, Tulsa, are all solid teams, but we have to show it out of conference.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Bummer. Hard to believe with all the historically good teams in the American that only one gets a bid.

Worse yet, letting Tulsa pass us in soccer.

SMU, UConn, and USF all had nice seasons but all of our RPIs were just too low to have any serious shot at making it.

Hopefully, next season all of the teams can improve a bit and clean up in some good non-conference matches to get the conference RPI up where it needs to be for multiple bids.

UCF having a terrible season didn't help the RPIs much either.

Tulsa lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 2-0 at St. Louis tonight.

Not the best year for The American.

Another sport that has lost its prestige since the mid-late 1990's. Thanks Turner.

and what is worse is that we have an AD that refuses to do anything about it. This program has been in the crapper since SH left and yet there have been no changes. Typical SMU athletics. And they actually wonder why the alums and fans don't support the school.

No one cares about wins in olympic sports here...the gold standard is 0 violations and mediocrity.
