Souza Finishes With Mustangs’ Top Time At Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (SMU) – The SMU women’s cross country team finished the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in 32nd place at the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course. Senior Shanoah Souza had the best time for the Mustangs for the second straight week with a time of 20:52.0 and finishing the 6K race in 85th place out of 246.
The top ranked team in the USTFCCCA National Poll, New Mexico took the top spot followed by No. 11 Arkansas, who is also the top ranked team in SMU’s South Central Region. The race was won by Allie Ostrander from No. 6 Boise State followed by Molly Seidel from No. 18 Notre Dame.
SMU’s remaining runners finished with Holly Archer (21:07.7) in 114th place, Karoline Skatteboe (21:28.7) in 154th place, Rakel Barrientos(21:53.4) in 197th place, Anneke Grogan (21:56.3) in 201st place, Cassidy Webber (22:51.4) in 235th place and Justine Anthony (23:47.0) in 243rd place.
