SMU Volleyball Selected 7th In NCAA Committee Rankings
DALLAS (SMU) – The NCAA DI women's volleyball committee announced its in-season top 16 rankings during the Pitt vs. Stanford match on Sunday, Oct. 20, and SMU Volleyball was ranked No. 7.
All matches through Saturday, Oct. 19, were under consideration when determining the rankings. The committee looked at several factors when determining the rankings, emphasizing head-to-head results, top 10 wins, and strength of schedule.
The Mustangs are one of four ACC teams to make the rankings and have wins over the top two teams selected by the committee in No. Pitt and No. 2 Nebraska. SMU has another opportunity this coming week to take down another top-5 team on Sunday as they host Louisville at Moody Coliseum, ranked fourth by the committee.
