Top Ten finish after that horrible first round. Had he simply shot par that first round, he'd have been in the hunt with Scottie.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Everybody made their cuts and will be playing this weekend. At the 3M, Mac is 9 under and T-17th, 5 shots off the lead while Noah is at minus 8 and T-24th. Harry is at minus 7 and T-30th.

On the Korn Ferry, Austin is at minus 11 and T-14th, only 3 shots off the lead

Austin is continuing to play good golf. His 6 under round today has him at minus 17 thru 54 holes, T-7th and 7 shots behind the leader who fired a 10 under round today. Austin is 3 shots off 2nd place after today's play

Meanwhile, Harry, Mac & Noah are all still chasing the dream of winning an event and more importantly finishing in the Top 100 on the money list (to keep their cards) or to get into the Fed Ex St Jude and play for much larger purses. They are all a long ways out of either of those accomplishments and would need to win in MN or next week in NC or finish top 3 in both events to join the Top 70 players on the Fed Ex points ranking.

Noah has completed 54 holes at 14 under and is currently T-10th and 3 shots off the lead. Mac is 13 under and T-14th while Harry is 10 under and T-29th. There are still enough players on the course who might get lower than minus 17 so it will take a career round tomorrow for any of our guys to have any chance of winning or jumping into the top 3 tomorrow but they are grinding

The leaders at the 3M start their final round at 18 under. The low round yesterday was an 8 under 63 by more than one player and the low round for the event was an 11 under 60 just yesterday that tied the course record. One of our guys will probably need a tournament low round to threaten the leaders. Harry starts the farthest back at minus 10 but birdied 2 of the 1st 3 holes including the 501 yard par 3 4th hole but is still 2 under thru 6 holes after making par on the only par 5 on the front nine which hurts. Can anyone shoot the round of their professional lives today?

I remember Colt Knost needing a birdie on # 18 at TPC Sawgrass during The Players in 2016 to break the course record and he ended up 3 putting to miss out on a share of the record.

Harry finishes 4 under today and 14 under for the week. Might be good for a top 25 finish. Mac is 14 under and still has 4 holes to play. Noah got it to 18 under thru 10 holes but bogey on # 11 really hurts. Kurt Kitayama is running away with this event and has followed his 11 under round yesterday with a 6 under front none and has a 3 shot lead.

Austin plays his front nine 2 under and remains 6 shots off the lead

Harry finished T-25th and earns $69k. Mac finished at 16 under, T-14th and earns $140k and Noah finished at 18 under, T-10th and earns $220k. Pretty good week for the guys all finishing in the Top 25 but for perspective, they would need to bring their season earnings to well over $1 million to reach the top 100 tier and Harry now leads our guys with about $750k earnings Only a win in NC next week (against what will be a much stronger field) would get one of our guys into the Fed Ex Cup playoffs

Austin finished 22 under and 6th but will lose his # 1 ranking on the Korn Ferry Tour after the # 2 player Johnny Keefer won this week. Austin now trails Keefer by 103 points to reclaim the # 1 ranking on that tour

Here's where our guys stand on the money list after the 3M (note that Mark Hubbard is currently ranked # 100 with $1,173,281 earnings so far)

https://www.pgatour.com/stats/detail/109

Here's how they stand in the Fed Ex Cup (Matti Schmid is # 70 with 595 points)

https://www.pgatour.com/fedexcup

A win this week at the Wyndham in Greensboro, NC is worth 500 points and about $1,5 million. That's the only path our guys have to have any hope of competing in the more lucrative Fed Ex St Jude Classic as one of the Top 70 players this year

Austin Smotherman fell to # 2 on the Korn Ferry rankings but has earned his spot on next year's PGA Tour with a pair of wins in June

This link shows how players qualified for this week's Wyndham Championship. Interesting to see that Noah's Top 10 finish last week earned him a spot. Clutch performance on his part:

Strong starts for Harry, Mac, and Noah. All in the top 30. Let's hope they can keep it going and finish strong this week.

A lot of pressure on these guys this week and a pretty strong field they are going against

Mac's 7 under 2nd round is currently the low round of the day and makes him the leader in the clubhouse... at least until the afternoon starts finish their rounds.
