Soccer Red Shirts???

Noticed that four of our freshman recruits including highly regarded Casey Hibbs are no longer listed on the official roster. I wonder if they have been red shirted. These recruits are Jared Champlin, Seth Tamminga, Casey Hibbs and Francisco Alvarez. The current roster lists 27 players, 8 of whom are freshman including 2 goalkeepers. Only four of these freshman have seen quite a bit of playing time, Leone Cruz, Stephen Grant, Dane Saintus and Jaime Benitez although none are starters at this point.

Grant started last night in place of Mynor Gonzalez, who sat out after being ejected against Cal last week. Rest assured, Gonzalez will start tonight against Brown.
