There are 15 current or former SMU student athletes competing in the Olympics this year.

This is going to make it hard for us Red White and Blue guys when former Mustangs are representing other countries. I kinda hope they win some gold medals because it would really make a statement to our new conference mates that we do have some great Olympic sports programs here (unfortunately, my fear is that the ones that could win are in Men's Track which we just dumped). But whether they win Gold, Silver or Bronze, or no medals at all, I will be proud of every Mustang in the Olympics.

Congratulations to Coach Sinnott and Coach Collins (swimming) and Coach Wollman (track) for landing so many athletes in Athens - they're all a tribute to the great coaches we have at SMU.
