The only thing that confused me was during his post win interview he said that now he was certain what he would do next year. Did he mean he would go to Q school as he had said or that he will go to Augusta, the US Open and the British Open as an amateur? He just kind of chuckled and said now he knew. For his sake, in the example of Colt Knost, I hope he takes advantage of the invitations to the greatest golf events around, and then turn pro. He will have plenty of time to make some big bucks.

I think he's going to finish degree and play those majors.

Congratulations to Kelly and the SMU family on this HUGE win! Kelly now has some big decisions to make.
Colt went the route he thought was right at the time and missed out on a huge opportunity that can never be taken back. Playing in Augusta/US Open/British are once in a lifetime chances (at this stage) that will be remembered and revered forever. Also highly doubt Kelly finishes his degree, would be great if he did.

Wow, three U.S. Amateur champions from SMU, all of whom had last names beginning with "K". What are the odds of that given that K is one of the least used letters in the alphabet? Great job Kelly. Good luck in the Walker Cup. Beat Europe!!!!
