I'll be at SMU for a LL.M. in August (2005 Fall).
Can you guys tell me if there's any kind of Judo or Jiu-jitsu team there?
If so, is it profesional or amature...
Well, thanks for any information.

Nope -- no such team. But the men's soccer coach, Schellas Hyndman, is one of the top handful of martial arts experts in the world. I think he has a high-level black belt in numerous different martial arts, and he teaches classes in Dallas. His e-mail address is:
[email protected] Welcome to SMU and to PonyFans.com.
Go to www.TXMMA.com for a list of schools in this area. There are several good schools in Dallas and Denton. I've heard good things about Mohlers, and North Dallas BJJ. Guy Mezger lives here in Dallas, and teaches at The Lions Den Dallas. I've heard Wes Simms is also at the Lions Den now, but I dont know that for certain.

Correction.
There is an excellent Judo teacher and club at SMU. I trained with them as recently as a couple of years ago. I will go through my notes and get you contact info. Now perhaps something has changed since they tore dedman down, but I imagine they would simply find another place to meet. At last glance, the Judo club met on monday and thursday evenings.
So clearly you know everything about all sports X. You need a new job. Living sports encyclopedia.
