M-Soccer: SMU vs. Notre Dame

Postby DanFreibergerForHeisman » Sat Aug 31, 2013 12:35 pm

SMU will be back in action Sunday morning at 10:30 against No. 7 Notre Dame. The game is part of the IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington, IN.

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any streaming option.

Notre Dame played No. 9 UCLA to a 0-0 draw in their first game Friday night.

As always, it's nice to beat Notre Dame in anything - Go Ponies!

SMU comes up short after what looked like a valiant surge in the second half.

Final: ND 2, SMU 1

Starting with 2 top-10 teams on the road? Sucks to lose, but will pay off down the road.

SMU men's soccer twitter reports Jaime Ibarra and Damian Rosales both made the IU Credit Union Classic all-tournament team this weekend.

Congratulations!

Did we have a lack of kicking in pre-season camp? Why did we have such a poor first half? NOt ready to play?

The fact that Indiana is #1 in the country and Notre Dame is #7 in the country might have something to do with why they can be difficult to play against. Basically 2 road games against top 10 teams. Losses suck, but it looks like were right there with both. I'm weirdly encouraged.
