The Under 19 Dallas Texans Club Team lost 4-1 to Brazil's Clube Athletico Paranaense on the opening day of the Dallas Cup Super Group competition. This Texans club team includes five SMU recruits. One of them, Richard Oliva scored the lone Texan goal. The Super Club includes mainly youth teams of major international soccer clubs. Most of these international youth players are professional players. To date, no U.S. based club has enjoyed much success in the Super Group competition.

Playing against top international competition like that will only serve to better-prepare these guys for what awaits them in college. I'm always going to miss seeing Ugo Ihemelu, TJ Tomasso, and the rest of their class, but I'm really excited about this incoming class.

Don't forget the great Ross Spencer (a good Oklahoma Pony).
