The DMN's has named Daniel Lopez, SMU soccer signee from Red Oak, area player of the year. Daniel is a midfielder who had 16 goals and 16 assists during the season.

Also named to the boys first team was signee Richard Oliva from flower Mound. Signee Jeff Harwell of Jesuit was named to the boys second team.

AS discussed before, the 2005 class looks like it will be a great addition to an already very strong team.

I don't know if this class has any players with the individual talent/stature/profile of guys like Carl Bussey, Luchi Gonzalez, Diego Walsh, etc., but I think for a class this large, the depth of talent in this bunch might make this class as good as any in SMU history.
