DALLAS (SMU) - SMU junior Andrea Kvetova shares Conference USA Female Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors with UAB
sophomore Whitney Mays after both athletes posted top-five national efforts in their respective events.
Kvetova won the javelin competition at the Baylor/Dr Pepper Invitational on Saturday with a winning toss of 170-11.25". The effort is the third-best nationally to date and qualified Kvetova for the NCAA Midwest Regional. The junior topped the field of 21 competitors and outdistanced the second-place finisher by more than 30 feet.
