McKinney North track standout picks SMU

McKinney North track and cross country standout Samantha Means said she has orally committed to SMU. As a junior last season, Means finished third at the 4A state cross country meet and was second in the 3,200 meters (10:38.45) and third in the 1,600 (5:11.43) at the 4A state track meet. Oral commitments are nonbinding. The first day she may sign a national letter of intent is Nov. 8.
