SMU volleyball wins tournament

The Ponies won the SMU Radisson Hotel Invitational today. The beat Prairie View A&M last night, then beat Louisiana-Monroe in three straight games and beat Auburn in five games today/tonight. The team showed some real backbone in the Auburn match, bouncing back from a long Auburn run in game 4, a run in which the Ponies saw a lead turn in to a pretty large deficit. SMU lost that game, but hung in there, rallied late and regrouped to win game 5. Natalie Peters made the all-tournament team, Jennette Evanko was named the tournament's best Libero, and Rachel Giubaloti was named Most Valuable Player.
Way to go, Ponies!

The volleyball matches were very enjoyable. SMU did a great job with their presentation. Great PA voice, great fun in the stands.
