Wideman honored again

SMU's Matt Wideman earns second straight C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honor
Senior goalkeeper also named to soccer website's National Team of the Week

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU goalkeeper Matt Wideman collected his second straight C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honor, as announced by the league on Monday. Wideman helped the Mustangs to two more wins at the SMU Mi Cocina Classic. Named the Tournament MVP after picking up his fifth consecutive shutout against No. 9 Indiana on Friday, Wideman did allow one goal against No. 17 Brown in a 5-1 SMU win, but sports a 0.18 GAA after six games this season, four against ranked opponents.
Wideman was also selected to the College Soccer News.com National Team of the Week.
