DALLAS (SMU) - SMU senior goalkeeper Matt Wideman (Fairview, Texas) earned his third straight Conference USA Defensive Player of the
Week honors, as announced by the league on Monday. He posted his sixth shutout of the season on Sunday, with SMU's 1-0 win over Dayton and was selected to the TLC Plumbing and Utility Invitational All-Tournament team. Wideman sports a current GAA of 0.24. In last week's national stats, he was fifth in the nation in GAA and sixth in save percentage, allowing only two goals in nearly 760 minutes of play.
