DALLAS (SMU) - SMU sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Gunter (Lancaster, Penn.) has been selected as this week's Conference USA Defensive Player
of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. She shares the honor with Rice's Amy McClintock.
Gunter did not allow one single goal in 155 minutes of play this weekend, posting one shutout at TCU and played all but 25 minutes vs. Oral Roberts. She now totals four shutouts on the season and sports a GAA of 0.95 with a save percentage of .816.
Gunter was also named to Top Drawer Soccer.com's National Team of the Week.
