For national soccer fans, are you in agreement that the team uniform is a problem or missed opportunity?

i agree, the white ones from the world cup were decent. i don't like the darker uniforms we tend to display like the blue ones or the red ones in the above link

It could be worse... a lot worse.
Remember these uniforms?

Of course it's still soccer in America so you can enjoy the sounds of silence on that story.

Be careful that's our color scheme. Looks very much like SMU red and SMU blue. That could be our soccer uniforms someday.

Having been one of the few to watch all Gold Cup matches, they pretty consistently wear the white jersey (which I like), but may break out the Navy jersey against Mexico in the final. My husband and I have one of each that we wore to the World Cup last year. I do agree that they should stick with 1 home and 1 away design -- remember brand recognition.
They have not, to my recollection, worn the alternate royal blue stripey number which is heinous, or the 1 time "don't tread on me" revolutionary war tribute jerseys with the diagonal slash on the red.
And if you're interested, which I know you're not, Twellman wears his very tight, and Gooch should take his off more often.

I have also watched every game as well as many of the non-US games. I am more distressed with the U.S. team's inability to finish makeable goals, lapses in concentration and sloppy defense at the ends of games than I am with the color and style of the uniforms. I would say that one of the old U.S. uniforms portrayed in one of the links looks like the sky blue and white vertical striped uniforms of Argentina.

Our unis have a classic look and are a lot better than many big soccer powers. Many with are very generic looking. The only problem with our unis are the white shoes. I can't stand white shoes - It's bad in football but horrible for soccer. The only thing worse is the colored shoes.
