Posted: Thu Feb 28, 2008 3:13 pmIt's a European football tradition that jerseys with the horizontal stripes that go all the way around are referred to as "hoops", and the name can be applied to the team as well.. Since Dallas switched from the Burn, they changed uniforms and now have the nickname hoops.
