If you will it, it is no dream.

If for Title IX reasons, Orsini wanted to start a women's gymnastics program at SMU, he has a poster girl. Kudo's. Interesting story, her dad was a silver medalist for Russia in gymnastics.

Per Wikipedia:
Liukin has several corporate sponsorships, including Visa, AT&T, GK Elite Sportswear, Longines and Adidas, and has served as a Longines Sports Ambassador of Elegance since 2006.
I don't think anyone is considering starting a gymnastics program here. It's been known since she applied that she would not be eligible to compete collegiately.

It sure was nice to hear SMU mentioned by the commentators after she had won the gold.

I was thinking in terms of SMU getting sponsorships and donors for a gymnastics program if they wanted one. I know she would not be eligible. She'll probably be on Wheaties boxes before the Olympics are over.

it would be an awfully loose connection that im afraid sponsors or business interests would see through rather quickly
