Defending national champs.
Still had a lot of starters in in the second half.
And we shut them out for the second half?
Didn't help the final score, but that's got to be a huge boost of confidence for a young team  especially (obviously) the defense.

Talked to head coach Brent Erwin, and his comments echoed what you said. USC is a sensational team, obviously, but he was thrilled with the way his team battled the defending national champs, especially since the game was about 36 hours after a hard-fought win over a very good Cal State-Fullerton team (and USC had no game Friday, so the Women of Troy were very well-rested).

I'm glad we beat CSUF, the alma mater of Kevin Costner.
Too bad it wasn't in baseball...

Great job, ladies, against a couple of real heavyweights.
Looking forward to watching you whip up on Colorado College and UTEP this weekend!

Maybe when Fullerton revives their FB team we can get a home and home.
