Peabody, May Earn All-Conference Honors

Peabody, May Earn All-Conference Honors
Junior defender named to first team
Nov. 5, 2008
DALLAS (SMU) - Two members of the SMU women's soccer team were honored for their standout performances this season when Conference USA coaches singled out junior defender Kim Peabody and freshman forward Logan May for all-conference honors.
Peabody was named first-team all-conference after a season in which she was one of the anchors of the SMU defense, while May was chosen among the league's elite first-year players after leading the Mustangs in scoring.
A converted forward, Peabody provided an athletic, stabilizing force for the young Ponies' defense, serving as the team's last line of defense in front of the SMU goal while also pressing forward to add an extra attacker on free kicks.
In her debut season on the Hilltop, May led the Mustangs in points, with eight, and shots, with 44. Her three goals (to go along with two assists) tied her with teammates Caitlin Carter and Mary Connally for the team lead.
