95-yard Goal Earns Freshman Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas (SMU) - Ryan Rosenbaum was named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week for his game-winning goal at No. 16 Tulsa on Wednesday. Rosenbaum scored in the 63rd minute from 95 yards out for SMU's third goal in the 3-2 victory.
Rosenbaum's goal was the No. 2 play on ESPN's SportsCenter on Thursday night, and received coverage from many national outlets, including ABC Morning News, Yahoo!, Deadspin, and The Big Lead. Not only was the goal Rosenbaum's first of his career, it came on his first career shot. Rosenbaum recorded his first career assist in his first career game on Sept. 30 against Centenary.
Rosenbaum and the Mustangs return to Westcott Field on Saturday, October 31, at 7 p.m. to take on UCF.
