East Carolina beat Marshall 1-0 tonight giving SMU women sixth place in the final season standings and a berth in the Conf USA tournament next week in Dallas. Now we need to win it and go to the dance.

Let's try again. On a more positive note!!!! I think that people need to just move on. Why is there constant lamenting about things of the past? These girls are the future. Focus on what they have been able to accomplish "against many odds". This is a good group of girls and they have managed to begin turning this program in a more positive direction. It may not be "turned around" but there has been more forward movement than last year. Go Girls!!!! I am very proud of you.

The women's efforts over the years has never been the subject to any criticism that I'm aware of. I disagree with your assessment of this season. I see no forward movement. Once again, not the womens fault. There are issues that many are not aware of that make it difficult for these ladies. As a wise irishman once said...the fish rots from the head.

Oldkeeper you seem bitter. I am sorry for you for that. The way to a longer more satisfying life has at the center of it, forgiveness. If the team is successful in spite of BE, so be it. Again it is ultimately about the girls. I think you are wasting your energy trying to crucify the coach, this was tried last year and it failed. Remember the definition of insanity.

Many of the anti-BE posts harp that it is all about the wins. So in keeping with that bottom-line theme, the team won 1 more game than last year and finished two spots higher in the final conference standings. And they accomplished it with a team composed predominantly of freshmen and sophomores.
Congratulations, girls! Beat the hell out of Memphis!!!!!!!
