SMU Men’s Tennis Player Artem Baradach Wins Conference USA Player Of The Week
DALLAS (SMU) – SMU men’s tennis player Artem Baradach was named the Conference USA player of the week Tuesday for his performance against Southern Miss last Saturday.
Baradach was competed in the No. 1 singles slot against Southern Miss' Patricio Alvarado, who is ranked No. 11 in the Southern Region. The match went to three sets before Baradach walked away with a 3-6,6-3,6-4 victory. The 71st-ranked player in the nation moved the Mustangs to a 5-3 overall record and 1-1 in the conference. This is Baradach's first career Tennis Player of the Week honor.
SMU will return to action on Saturday against Cameron at 3 p.m. at Turpin Tennis Center.
