SMU Men’s Tennis Player Artem Baradach Named Conference USA Player Of The Week
DALLAS (SMU) – SMU men’s tennis player Artem Baradach was named the Conference USA men’s player of the week Tuesday afternoon. He went 2-0 in singles play last week, defeating Memphis Charlie Ramsey and No. 7 Dimitar Kutrovsky from Texas.
Baradach is currently ranked No. 99 by the ITA in the national rankings, and owns a ranking of No. 14 in Texas. He beat Kutrovsky 6-0, 6-1 in Austin last Tuesday, before beating Ramsey 6-2, 6-0 on Saturday. This marks Baradach's second career Tennis Player of the Week award, both this season.
The Mustangs will be back in action on Thursday at 2 p.m. against Virginia Commonwealth.
