SMU Women's Swimming Finishes 27th At NCAA Championships
DALLAS (SMU) - SMU finished 27th Saturday at the conclusion of the NCAA Championships, held on the University of Purdue campus. The team totaled 22 points for the week and six on Saturday.
Audra Egenolf led the way for the Mustangs on the final day of competiion, placing 11th in the platform dive with a score of 258.15.
Therese Svendsen and Sascha Van Den Branden both competed Saturday in the 200-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle respectively. Unfortunately for SMU, neither made it past the qualfying stage, thus ending the team point total at 22 for the week.
SMU will still compete this spring as the team will be in action April 1-3 at the Columbus Grand Prix. Full results of the meet will be available on smumustangs.com
