Hey guys, come out and support the women's tennis team as they host C-USA rival Rice on Senior Day at Noon Saturday. There has been a Facebook announcement going around too, so make sure to come out and bring a friend as the Mustangs look to take out the Owls. College tennis is a great time if there is a nice and LOUD crowd cheering for the home team. Don't let Coach M and the girls down. Below is the official SMU press release...

Senior Day For Briceno, Francis, Kennedy, and Quist

DALLAS (SMU) - The No. 29 SMU women's tennis team hosts Conference USA rival Rice in the regular-season finale at Turpin Tennis Center on Saturday at Noon. It is the final home match for seniors Nicole Briceno, Pavi Francis, Casey Kennedy, and Sophie Quist. All four were members of the 2009 Conference USA championship team and each will be honored before the match. The Mustangs have a record of 79-21 in dual matches over the last four seasons.

Pavi Francis is 74-36 in singles for her career, including a 17-7 mark this season. The 74 wins already place her in the top-10 all-time for career singles victories and she has a chance for her third 20-win season after going 24-9 as a freshman and 21-10 as a sophomore. Francis is also 57-21 in her doubles career with a 19-6 mark this season. In the fall, she and sophomore Marta Lesniak captured the doubles championship at the 2009 ITA Regional in Waco and advanced to the ITA Indoor National Championships. She earned a C-USA Player of the Week honor during her freshman season in 2006-07. Francis is finishing her degree in advertising.

Nicole Briceno stands at 29-4 in her doubles career as a Mustang and 30-28 in singles matches. She went 23-2 in doubles as a junior as she helped the Mustangs to the Conference USA Championship. Briceno is completing her degree in psychology.

Casey Kennedy is 17-14 in doubles and 14-12 in singles over the last two seasons. She has a 13-4 mark in doubles in dual matches including an 8-4 mark this season. Kennedy is pursuing a degree in political science.

Sophie Quist is 14-8 in doubles and 18-21 in singles for her career at SMU. She was 5-0 in doubles during dual matches a junior while helping SMU to the league championship. Quist has a 7-6 doubles mark this season. Quist is working toward her degree in economics and finance.

The Conference USA Championship is April 22-25 in Tulsa. The NCAA Championship selections will be announced on April 27; the tournament begins on May 1.
