Marta Lesniak Collects 4th C-USA Player of the Week Honor

Lesniak went 2-0 last week and led No. 29 SMU to a 6-1 win over 42nd-ranked Rice on Saturday. In singles, the sophomore defeated No. 104 Rebekka Hanle in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 3-6, 11-9. She then teamed up with Aleksandra Malyarchikova and won in the No. 1 doubles, 8-5, against the Owls' Julie Chao and Ana Guzman. Lesniak, the 34th-ranked player in the country, climbed to 21-2 in dual matches at No. 1 singles on the year. This is Lesniak's fourth Tennis Player of the Week honor of the season and fourth of her career.
