DALLAS (SMU) - Caitlin Pisciotta has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for SMU, Coach Todd Selders announced today. Pisciotta, from Alpharetta, Ga., is the fifth-ranked player in the state and was the top unsigned player in the Peach State.
In 2009, Pisciotta won the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour's Daniel Island Junior Classic, the Terrapin Hills Junior Classic and the AutoTrader.com Invitational. She was also runner-up at the SJGT Tournament of Champions. She is Golfweek's No. 73-ranked golfer in the 2010 class.
"SMU was everything I want for my college experience: great academics, wonderful facilities and a competitive program," said Pisciotta. "I visited several schools in the SEC, but did not find what I was looking for until I visited SMU."
"I think it is a great pick up," said Selders. "She will be a great compliment to Amy Ruengmateekhun, who we signed in the fall, and together they will make us a stronger."
