Women's Tennis Leads C-USA With Five All-Conference Sele
Posted: Thu May 06, 2010 9:52 pmIRVING, Texas (SMU/C-USA) - The No. 31 SMU women's tennis team led Conference USA with five All-Conference honorees.
Sophomores Marta Lesniak (28-5, ITA No. 28) and Aleksandra Malyarchikova (25-5) each made the first team for the second straight season. Freshmen Edyta Cieplucha (17-2) and Shahzoda Hatamova (27-8) each made the second team. Senior Pavi Francis (19-8) was selected to the third team.
The Mustangs (23-4) play Pepperdine (12-1) in the first round of the NCAA Championship on May 14 in Stanford, Calif., at 1 p.m. CT.
