Ramon Nuñez, who played for a year at SMU before going pro, is a starting midfielder on the Honduras national team. Honduras is losing to Spain, 2-0, with about 20 minutes left in the second game of the tournament for each team. Nuñez just took a direct kick from about 25 yards out, but his shot sailed high.

Thank PP - I got to watch the game. He played pretty well in a lost cause. It was nice that he got so much attention from the announcers, though no SMU mentions. I think he acquitted himself well against a very good team.

Agreed. I thought he created more chances than almost all of his teammates combined.
Should be better in four years, when he hopefully puts on a little more muscle as he matures. Still looked very thin against some of the really big guys on the Spanish team.
