Incoming Freshmen Have Strong Showings At Summer Tournaments

DALLAS (SMU) - Incoming SMU freshmen Caitlin Pisciotta and Amy Ruengmateekhun both posted strong showings in summer tournaments this week.
Pisciotta shot rounds of 75-72-75 to finish tied for fifth in the AJGA Palmetto Junior Classic at Columbia Country Club in Columbia, S.C., while Ruengmateekhun shot 71-74 to tie for fourth at the Texas Women's Open played at Eastern Hills Country Club. Ruengmateekhun was beaten on the second hole in a playoff for low amateur.
Assistant coach Emily Milberger also played in the Texas Women's Open, shooting 74-74 to finish tied for 16th.
"It's great that Caitlin and Amy are off to good starts in their summer play, representing SMU and the team very well," said Coach Todd Selders. "I'm proud of them for working so [deleted] their games. I know they'll bring that success and work effort to the course for us this fall as well."
