Men's soccer: No. 9, but seeks more

Postby PonyPride » Fri Sep 24, 2010 1:42 pm

After a down season in 2009, the SMU men's soccer team opened the 2010 season with several question marks. Many of those questions have been answered, at least so far, thanks in part to a refocused group of upperclassmen and a precocious group of freshmen who have infused the team with a burst of speed and athleticism ... and goals. Head coach Tim McClements and senior midfielder/co-captain Kekoa Osorio visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the reasons behind the Ponies' fast start, and their thoughts about resisting the urge to become satisfied before reaching bigger goals.

Great article - thanks!

I know there is kind of a big game for SMU tonight - but don't forget both soccer teams are in action on the road tonight as well!

Terrific story.
You're right, however, to point out that there's a long way to go — C-USA is now one of the better soccer conferences in the country, and we're just beginning that part of the season.
Keep on rolling, Ponies!
