I am just so depressed today. Both the football team and women's soccer losing Friday night is totally disheartening.

Hopefully the girls can bounce back against Rice on Sunday!

dropped another heartbreaker today. Lost to Rice 2-1 in overtime. We started slow in the first half and Rice scored on a restart 8 minutes in. (perfectly hit ball...nothing Webb could have done). We finally woke up, put together some great runs but couldn't finish! Then in the second half we finished off a restart. Lauren sent a great ball to a diving Amanda B who finished with a diving header!!! We go into overtime with all the momentum and Rice got another free kick 35 yards out and somehow got the ball in. It was honestly like a half court shot that goes in at the buzzer. With all the injuries the girls are still playing well and should be proud of how hard they played. Losing the players we have lost has changed the dynamic of the team!!!! I really hope they bounce back because the season is FAR FROM OVER!

That's so cool we scored on a diving header! Burghardt does seem to have a nice edge to her play.
