GREENVILLE, N.C. (SMU) ---The SMU volleyball team defeated East Carolina 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-11) on Friday night. SMU moves to 15-4 this season and 7-1 in Conference USA action.

Dana Powell led the Mustangs in kills with 12 and added in 14 digs. The double-double is her team-leading 13th this season.

Libero Sidney Stewart had a team-high 16 digs in the match. As a squad, the Mustangs had five team blocks and held East Carolina to a season-best .007 hitting percentage.

Junior outside hitter Jessica Oliver swung for a match-high .273 attack percentage. Oliver registered eight kills on 22 attacks.

Setter Kelli Becerra totaled a match-high 33 assists for SMU. The junior added in 12 digs to mark her 10th double-double this season.

The Mustangs have won seven out of their past eight contests. The team's 15-4 record ties the 2003 squad for the best record in program history through 19 matches.
